At Hive Cleaning, looking after the planet is just part of who we are — and it’s been brilliant to see how much we’ve achieved over the past few years. So far, we’ve planted more than a thousand trees, restored metres of ancient hedgerow, and even built steps into the land to protect the landscape for the future.

This year’s tree planting day in Devon was our biggest yet, with over 30 volunteers — clients, suppliers, our team, and their families — all getting stuck in. We were lucky with the weather too; it was one of those perfect days where the sun shines but it’s not too hot, and everything just feels good.
Seeing Hive Wood grow a bit bigger every year is pretty special. Every tree we plant helps boost local biodiversity, supports wildlife, and makes this beautiful spot even more incredible. It’s a reminder that sustainability isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we do.
After a day of digging, planting, and a lot of laughter (plus a few aching arms), we headed over to a lovely hotel in the nearby village of Clovelly for a well-earned dinner and some drinks at the pub. It was the perfect way to end a brilliant day — great food, a few toasts, and plenty of good company.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us — including Futures Supplies; Chorus Capital; Simply Washrooms; OpenTable; Sharpe Pritchard Solicitors & Parliamentary Agents; monday.com; Planet Mark; JTP LLP; Mother; Soho Estates Limited; Meridiem Investment Management — and all the others who came along.
We also made a short film of the day — you can check it out.
We’re already looking forward to the next one!
