My journey with Hive began back in 2017. I had previously been a guest at several heartwarming events hosted by The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners. Those gatherings not only enriched us personally but also inspired us to give back through their charitable endeavours. Our MD Louis Beaumont was already an active member of the Livery and was kind enough to propose me to the membership committee.
It was during this exciting phase that my association with the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners truly began. After a fulfilling membership journey that included engaging events and insightful conversations, I became a proud ‘Freeman’ of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners. These initial moments filled me with inspiration and a real sense of camaraderie.
As we built our business, we were driven not only by its sustainability but also by the desire to revolutionize the cleaning industry. Our passionate cleaning teams, armed with eco-friendly solutions and top-notch training resources, gave us the confidence to introduce a fresh perspective to the industry. And what better way to do this than to lead by example and collaborate with other business leaders in the livery?
While on the path to becoming a Liveryman. The world was struck by the unexpected arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. Its impact wasn't just on our business but the entire industry. However, amidst the chaos, we found a silver lining — an opportunity to make our mark and demonstrate the resilience of our ideas in an ever-evolving landscape. Though the granting of my Freedom of the City was delayed, the eventual approval brought me immeasurable joy, especially shared with my closest colleagues, friends, and family.
Recently, I proudly achieved the status of a fully-fledged ‘Liveryman’, marking a significant milestone in this incredible journey. Now, with unwavering determination, we aim to champion our industry by setting a new benchmark for Governance, ESG, Best Practice and Standards, all while nurturing a community of talented individuals. We understand the challenges ahead, but our commitment to making a positive impact on the planet drives us to push boundaries and pave the way for a better tomorrow.
