How should you hang toilet paper?
A recent social-media revival of the over-or-under toilet paper debate has brought new attention to the patents of inventor Seth Wheeler, of the Albany Perforated Wrapping Paper Company.
This patent from 1891 for "Wrapping or toilet paper roll" shows perforated sheets of paper. The patent illustrations quite clearly show an "over" arrangement for the roll. It may not settle the debate, but it's ammunition for the "over" crowd.
At Hive we are dedicated "over" persons ourselves (it allows is to fold the paper into a 'V' shape to look pretty!).
Should the topic ever come up in conversation, we will certainly point out the patent as further evidence of our toilet tissue righteousness. But we're not unreasonable. We believe there is room for us all, even the misguided people who subscribe to the "under" approach.
Seriously though or latest innovation is Cheeky Panda toilet paper. It is made from waste bamboo and is the most eco friendly paper on the planet... not mention soft and luxurious ;)
