Absolute Carbon Reduction Award at the Planet Mark

At Hive Cleaning, our mission has always been clear: to provide cleaning excellence while caring deeply for our planet. That’s why achieving certification with Planet Mark was more than a badge—it was a meaningful step in our journey to sustainability and operating with purpose.

On 6 November, we celebrated at the Planet Mark Awards 2025, an evening that brought together changemakers “turning ambition into measurable action”.

We were deeply honoured to be nominated in the Absolute Carbon Reduction category—and absolutely thrilled to be announced as winners. It’s a distinction that emphasises real, tangible results: Planet Mark’s announcement recognises organisations that “each achieve outstanding absolute carbon reductions, including one full 100% reduction, showcasing bold climate leadership.”

Our Director, Chris Underhill, had the honour of presenting the Best Company award on stage—an apt moment, as we were winners of that category last year and proud to be sponsoring it this year. Congratulations to the winner, Blooming Haus, and to the highly commended Hypnos Beds.

And here is what our Account Manager, Lorna Brown, who accepted the award on the team's behalf, shared on the night: "I am so thrilled for us that we have won at the Planet Mark Awards tonight — we’re absolutely buzzing (pun intended 😉🐝) … It’s not about grand gestures — it’s the everyday decisions, the quiet devotion, and continuous and deliberate actions that make all the difference. Lorna’s words resonate deeply with us. At Hive, achieving genuine change isn’t about headline-grabbing initiatives alone—it’s about consistent, thoughtful acts day after day: reducing energy, shifting to cleaner transport, refining how we work with our clients, and embedding sustainability as part of our culture and our operations. Our Planet Mark certification and this award both reflect that ethos.

We have also achieved net-zero for Scopes 1 and 2 emissions, which underscores our commitment to measuring what matters and taking credible action. Winning Absolute Carbon Reduction at the Planet Mark Awards isn’t an end point—it motivates us to keep going, to push further, and to bring our entire team, supply chain and clients along.
