The Decade of Action is an initiative by the United Nations, which calls for accelerating sustainable solutions to all the world’s biggest challenges — ranging from poverty and gender to climate change, inequality and closing the finance gap. The Planet Mark, a fantastic sustainability certification, is very much involved in this drive and we were very excited to take part in the 2019 awards finalists reception, kick-starting and celebrating the Decade of Action initiative.
The reception was hosted by Womble Bond Dickinson, a transatlantic law firm, which are also working towards reducing their carbon footprint.
It was inspirational to see how other organisations work towards their sustainable goals, what they are doing to protect the environment and how they are developing ethical workplaces. We all learned a lot from various talks such as Giant Peach Web design agency, and as always it was great to catch up with new and old friends, like the Planet Mark founder Steve Malkin.
