Eight Years of Certification With Planet Mark

This year marks eight consecutive years that Hive Cleaning has measured its carbon footprint with Planet Mark, and we're proud to say we've been certified once again. As a leading eco-friendly office cleaning company, working with an independent, well-respected organisation, for this long means our numbers are never just a claim we make about ourselves. Every year, we meticulously gather data and our emissions are checked, measuring full Scopes 1 and 2 (where we are Net Zero) and partial Scope 3 (where we demonstrated continuous reduction).

The chart below sums up where that work has taken us in 2025. Across the board, our measured carbon emissions have fallen compared to last year:

• our total footprint is down 8% on a market basis and 17% on a location basis,

• our emissions per employee are down 25% and 27%,

• and our emissions per £m of turnover, are down 33% and 38%.

  
  

These reductions reflect real changes in how we operate, from the fleet we drive to the energy we buy, from our waste management practices to the sustainable products we choose to buy -- and how effectively we grow.

As a B Corp with a score of 122.2, making us the highest-scoring office cleaning company in the world and placing us in the top 5% of B Corps globally, we're constantly working to improve, reduce our carbon footprint, expand our sustainability operations and lead by example.

Looking ahead, we're expanding our collaboration with Planet Mark next year, widening the boundary of what we measure so we can keep telling this story honestly as our footprint gets fuller and more complete.
