Meet the People: Irina Toma

Irina Toma is one of our much-loved members of the team and a respected team leader. She's an Area Manager who's been with Hive for many years, and was promoted internally. Here is Irina in her own words:

My role as an Area Manager involves administrative work, site inspections, completing KPI forms, attending client meetings, and ensuring standards are consistently maintained across all sites.

Where were you born: I was born in Romania

Which languages do you speak? I speak three languages: Romanian, English, and Spanish.

Favourite food: My favourite food is sarmale — a traditional Romanian dish made of minced meat, vegetables, and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves, served with sour cream and polenta. It’s absolutely delicious. For dessert, I love papanasi — fried doughnuts served with sour cream and jam.

Favourite Books: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Favourite Music: I enjoy listening to R&B and pop music

Favourite Films: My favourite film is The Man in the Iron Mask.

Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy doing my own nails and baking.

Best thing about working at Hive: Definitely the Christmas party — especially seeing my two supervisors being so competitive and winning most of the gifts! And of course, watching our Senior Account Manager Kirk showing off his dance moves… while sitting on a chair. Unforgettable!
